Uganda

Uganda is roughly the same size as the state of Oregon. Most children are enrolled in school from age 6 to about age 13, with about 40 percent progressing to secondary school. Education is paid for by the government for up to four natural children in each family. Christianity is the largest religion in Uganda. Islam was introduced before Christianity, but because schools and health centers were built by Christian churches, many people converted to Christianity.

Young Life in Uganda is completely volunteer led with more than 1,300 kids at clubs every week.
