My name is Patricia Auma, but people call me Tricia. I live in Paidha, Zombo District with my uncle and his family. I am the first born among six children. My parents, Okello Morris Sida and Akidi Stella, are peasant farmers.
After Primary 7, I had no hope of continuing school. Fees were a struggle, but my uncle took me in to pay my school fees despite his many responsibilities. I am deeply grateful. I completed high school in 2024. At 15, Young Life club started in my high school. I was invited to join and later that year I encountered Jesus Christ during camp. I began taking God and prayer seriously with the help of my church reverend who helped me grow, and today I serve as a Sunday school teacher and a Young Life leader of a High School.
With the privilege of Developing Global Leaders, I will join Muni University in Arua to study Education Agriculture. I will be the first person in my family to attend university. In the DGL program, my goals are to grow in my career, have greater impact, continue serving God through Young Life, support ministry both spiritually and financially, and win more souls for Him.
