Malawi

Malawi, a landlocked country in Southeast Africa, is known as the "warm heart of Africa" due to the Malawian attitude of kindness, hospitality and trust. Although it is small, Malawi boasts the third largest body of freshwater in Africa as well as the east African Rift Valley. Ninety percent of the people are rural subsistence farmers. Boys usually stay in school longer than girls, but only a small number of students move beyond a primary education. Unfortunately, Malawi also has one of the world's highest rates of HIV/AIDS infection.
