I was born in Basankusu, in the Democratic Republic of Congo, as the third of eight children. Because of the war, my family fled to Kinshasa, the capital, where we faced many challenges. My father struggled with severe illnesses and eventually passed away after years of suffering. His death deeply affected us adversely but we relied on prayer and hard work. Despite financial hardships and setbacks, including failing at the final level of my studies, the Lord remained faithful. Through perseverance and God’s grace, I was able to earn my state diploma, a milestone that strengthened my hope for the future.
I grew up in a Catholic family and have served in my church as a Gospel reader and a choir-member in our Latin-French choir. My personal relationship with Jesus began early in my life and has deepened over the years through prayer, reading, and meditating on His Word. Meeting Christ daily in my personal journey has transformed my life and inspired me to share His love with others. I connected with Young Life through a friend, and it has become an important part of my faith journey, helping me grow spiritually and build meaningful relationships.
As a DGL, I'm studying economics at university, my goal is to complete my studies successfully and use my education to positively impact my community. I hope to grow as a leader, strengthen my ministry, and serve others with compassion and purpose.
