Kins

Kins resides in Lubumbashi, in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Growing up in a family of eleven, Kins has witnessed his parents working hard to provide even the basic necessities.

As a child, Kins was raised attending church with his family. Through years of sermons, reading the Word, and seeking the wisdom, he began a relationship with Jesus. Kins' faith blossomed to a new level when a kind sister from his church invited him to the Young Life club. There, he began experiencing what life might look like serving others. Currently, an active Young Life leader, Kins gives his time to youth in his community. He has “committed to persevering until the end and always having faith.” His heart is for others to know Jesus.

As a Developing Global Leader, Kins will be attending the Higher Pedagogical Institute to earn a degree in engineering and computer science. He will be the first in his family to graduate from university. He believes technology will create a brighter future for himself, his family, and his community. He understands the value of an education is immeasurable and can enable individuals to make an authentic difference in their community and beyond.
