I live with my two grandparents on my father's side. My grandmother, Audelia, is 83 years old, she suffers from glaucoma. I love her very much. My grandfather, Juan Manuel, is the one I admire most in my family. He is 89 years old and is very active despite his age.
I didn’t live in one place for a long time. My parents divorced when I was 3 years old, my mother went to Costa Rica and I lived for a year with my grandparents and my father, then my mother took me and my brother to Costa Rica for 5 years and I met my younger brother Max. Then I returned to Nicaragua. I remember that I was 13 years old when I saw my dad getting drunk to the point where he was vomiting a lot. I cried without knowing why that was happening, I thought my dad was going to die. That day I promised myself I would never drink liquor or smoke.
I didn't want to know anything about God but thanks to my Leader, Jerson, who invited me to camp, I was able to meet Christ Jesus. During the 20 minutes alone talking with God made me see how much I needed God. It was there at that time when I felt warm and loved, God spoke to me that day, gave me a purpose and a new life.
Now as a Developing Global Leader, I want to earn my degree and start the first college club in Boaco. With my degree I will be able to move forward with a stable economic situation. I see myself as a great leader of the YL ministry. I want to be an area director and help raise funds to give kids the same opportunity that I had. I also want to be a good public accountant.
