My name is Ronald. I am popularly known as Ronnie. I was born and partly raised as an only child in Nairobi, Kenya. I grew up in a loving and stable home. My father was a businessman and the provider of all our basic needs. Life was very good! I dreamt of a bright future up until one evening when we received the news of the demise of both my parents. My world came crumbling down and all hope was lost.

After laying my parents to rest, I moved to Mombasa to live with my aunt. She was the only relative who agreed to take me in. My aunt lived a very poor life. She was a widow and jobless and struggled to provide for us. I felt like I was a burden to her. At the age of eleven, I decided to start working and help her take care of some bills. I went around selling ground nuts, boiled maize and vegetables just to earn an income. Attending school was the greatest challenge that I faced. I remember one time, I stayed home for a year after I was sent home for school fees. I was able to complete my high school education through the help of well-wishers.

I received Christ as a teenager at one of the Young Life camps. Living in a Muslim dominated region, it is my passion to see more teenagers, particularly Muslim kids who have never heard the Gospel, come to know Christ. I am currently studying business and economics at Pwani University in Mombasa. I envision myself as a great businessperson in my country who will help eradicate poverty and empower more youths. As a Developing Global Leader, my vision is to develop more quality leaders who will bring Good News to the teenagers in my country.
