Rejdi

My name is Rejdi. I live in Ibe, a rural area of East Tirana, Albania, with my parents and two younger siblings. When I was a little kid, life and all its hardships seemed pointless to me. I did not want to live. I think what contributed to this was the fact that I did not fit in with my friends. The birth of my little brother then made me realize how people's lives would be impacted if I was not here anymore.  During this time, I started going to the local church and attending activities there. 

At church, I heard that Jesus died for me and that He wanted my life. Jesus made me want to keep living. I learned about Young Life through my local church and started attending their activities and camps. Now, I want to spread the Gospel as much as possible and grow in my relationship with Jesus.

As a recipient of the Developing Global Leaders scholarship, I am studying Engineering and Computer Science at FSHN-UT in Tirana. I will be the first person in my family to graduate from university. When I graduate, I want to be a data scientist. I also want to continue serving others and the church.
