Felix

I am Felix, but everyone calls me Fello. I live in Kisumu, in the Migosi area, with my dad, my stepmom, and I am the eldest son with 11 siblings. My mom is deceased. My parents’ separation and later my mother’s death was a great challenge. As the eldest son, I had to stay strong, cope, and focus on a better future for my family.

I met Jesus in 2019 during a prayer day at my primary school. I first heard about Young Life on my way home when I met our Area Director, Joshua Baraka. He told me about Young Life and invited me to the Obunga neighborhood club where I was a club kid for two years. I went through Quest training, was commissioned, and started ministry in Migosi where I lead. 

With the support from the Developing Global Leaders’ program, I will begin my first year at Maseno University, Kisumu Town Campus. I will study Film and TV Production in Media and Communications. I also want to use media and storytelling to reach young people for Christ. My dream job is to be an Actor. My vision is to work hard extra hard, and use my degree to become an actor. I look forward to contacting more teenagers and raising up more leaders through Young Life.
