Daniel

Daniel grew up in a loving, humble family of ten children in Chapungu, Bamba Kenya Coast. His close-knit family taught him kindness, honesty, and hard work. While his childhood was happy, his family faced financial hardship that sometimes made it difficult to pay school fees and buy learning materials. Despite this, Daniel remained committed to his education through hard work, focus, and support from his teachers and family.

His faith began through his family and church elders, but became personal when he faced personal and academic challenges. Realizing he could not rely on his own strength, he turned to God through prayer and the Bible, and chose to follow Christ. He was invited to Young Life by his teacher of English and was drawn to its welcoming community and Bible discussions. Through Young Life, he has grown spiritually, built meaningful friendships, and now serves as a leader.

Daniel's future vision is to become a teacher through the Developing Global leaders’ program. He intends to use education and ministry to transform lives. He believes every young person deserves someone who believes in them and points them to Christ. He hopes to partner with churches, schools, and community organizations to promote quality education, peace, and youth empowerment, and to help raise a generation of servant leaders who lead with compassion and integrity.
