I grew up in Khaniyabas. My parents were farmers, and it was often a struggle to provide for our family. Sometimes we did not have enough food. But my parents worked hard to make sure my siblings and I could attend school. I thank God that despite our financial hardships, He provided for us. I helped with farming and chores before and after school. I see how those experiences shaped my character.
My parents come from a Buddhist background. At that time, our village was deeply influenced by superstition, and people often went to witch doctors, Lamas, and traditional healers. One day, my grandfather became seriously ill, and despite many attempts at healing, nothing helped. God then sent a believer who shared the gospel with us and told us about the healing power of Jesus. Our family went to a church, where the pastor prayed for my grandfather, and by God’s grace, he was healed. Through this miracle, my entire family came to know Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. My greatest desire is to share the gospel to those who are far from Him, into a relationship with God. I especially want to help young people from Christian families but have not personally experienced Christ to discover their purpose, hope, and identity in Jesus.
Now a Developing Global Leader, I hope to become a good teacher and use education to bring positive change. I believe God will use my education and ministry journey to help me continue learning, grow deeper in my relationship with Him, and fulfill my calling to serve Him.
