Luca

My name is Luca. I live in Alba Iulia, Romania. When I think about my childhood, I think of the hours spent outside playing with my friends. I also remember the Sundays when I was a regular at church. My church community knew me as their son.

I grew up in the church and in a Christian family. As a child, my time in the church planted the calling in my heart to become a priest. Over the years, I grew in my faith through theological study and prayer, both of which continue to deepen my relationship with God and the church. My relationship with God grew and changed again at 17 years old, when He helped me through a difficult time in my life. Young Life has also helped me know God. I am currently involved in Young Life college ministry. 

As a recipient of the Developing Global Leaders scholarship, I am studying theology and Christian ministry at Facultatea de Teologie Ortodoxa in Alba Iulia. I will be the first person in my family to graduate from university. With my degree, I want to become a priest. I want to help young people grow closer to God and the church.
