My name is Biniyam, but people call me Tadase. I live in Nagelle Arsi, Ethiopia with my wife Rahel and our 4 children: Merck, Henok, Biruk, and John. I grew up in a Christian home. My dad, Tesfaye Tadase Abdo, is a pastor and my mom, Tsehay Bekele Woldisha, is an evangelist.
From a young age I was in church. This gave me a foundation in scripture, prayer, and worship. It taught me accountability and walking with other believers. But my personal relationship with Jesus became real through Young Life leaders who genuinely invested in me. The gospel moved from a story to a living reality. I was so impacted by how selflessly my leaders poured into me that I didn’t just want to receive — I wanted to give back. That’s why I lead high school, college and sports Young Life clubs today
Through the privilege of Developing Global Leaders scholarship, I will study Pharmacy in Science and Medicine at Nagelle Arsi General Hospital and Medical College because it bridges my passion for healthcare with my desire to directly impact my community. I dream of becoming a trusted, ethical pharmacist who serves as a vital healthcare provider. My goal is to multiply my impact by focusing on relational ministry and developing Kingdom leaders.
