Christian

Christian, also known as iYeboah, is a first-year Education student majoring in Government at the University of Education, Winneba. He is from Gomoa East in the Central Region of Ghana. Christian was raised in a humble family in Gomoa Brofo. He lives with his father, Isaac Mensah, a driver, and his mother, Rose Arkoh, a trader, along with 3 siblings. Growing
up, his family faced financial challenges that sometimes made school difficult. Despite this, his parents taught him to respect others, work hard, and trust God. These experiences made Christian more responsible and determined to build a better future for himself and to help others.

Faith is central to Christian’s life. He accepted Jesus in Senior year of High School after a school pastor’s message touched his heart, and he was baptized. He currently fellowships with the Church of Pentecost where he serves as a youth prayer leader. For 2 years he was a Young Life Campaigner and for 3 years he has served as a club leader and part of the Team Leaders in the neighborhood ministry, working with youth ages 10-22. Young Life helped him overcome being introverted and gave him confidence to share Jesus. His daily walk includes prayer and Bible study, and his faith
guides him to be honest, kind, and willing to help others.

Now a Developing Global Leader, Christian chose Education because of his desire to help young people learn and
succeed. His goal is to become a teacher. He hopes his degree will improve his financial status so he can support other young adults in their education. In the DGL program, he aims to grow spiritually, learn computer hardware, and recruit volunteer
leaders.
