My name is has been changed for security reasons. I come from a big family with many siblings, but today I live with my parents and my younger sisters. My dad serves as a full-time Young Life staff member and also as a youth pastor, so ministry has been part of my life for as long as I can remember.

I have been involved in Young Life since I was a child. Although I grew up knowing about God, I made a conscious decision to follow Jesus when I was twelve at a Young Life camp during a quiet time of reflection. One of the biggest lessons God has taught me is to see people and myself through His eyes. I struggled for a long time with accepting my appearance, but God used people around me to remind me that He created me with purpose. Today, I serve as a leader and help organize camps, clubs, small groups, and contact work. I love working with kids, so I dream of starting a WyldLife ministry in my city so younger teenagers can hear about Jesus.

Now a DGL student, I will earn a degree at local university, I am studying to become a preschool teacher. My hope is to invest in children and teenagers, helping them experience the love of Christ just as I did. I also believe my studies will help me better understand people and serve them with wisdom, compassion, and God's love.
