Emmanuel Sahr

Emmanuel was born and raised in Koidu City, Sierra Leone. He is the oldest of 4 children and lives with his father and mother. Growing-up was not always easy due to financial challenges and limited resources for school. But his family taught him to depend on God and to work hard. He learned early how to balance daily responsibilities, school, and service.

Emmanuel met Jesus in 2015 through church evangelism in his community. He realized that Jesus loved him personally and died for him, and he decided to follow Christ. In 2022 a Young Life leader invited him to Campaigners Camp. There he experienced God’s love in a new way and saw how community could change a person. After that camp, leaders asked him to join the team. He was involved as a Campaigner kid and for the last 4 years he has served as a volunteer Young Life Team Leader in Kono. He currently works with High School students ages 14-18 and in Capernaum ministry for students with special needs. His responsibilities include contact work, running club, one-on-ones, and planning events. He also serves at Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries in Kono.

Now a Developing Global Leader, Emmanuel will begin studying Business and Economics, majoring in Business Information System at Kono University of Science and Technology. He chose this field because many businesses in Sierra Leone need people who understand both business and technology. His goal is to become a Business Consultant and Analyst who helps businesses grow and use technology well. He wants to use his skills to support Young Life with data, communication, and administration so more kids can hear the Gospel.
