Growing up, I faced many challenges, including losing both of my parents at a young age. After their passing, I lived with a foster mother, but eventually found myself without a home and living on the streets. Those experiences were painful, but they taught me resilience and compassion. I worked hard and pursued my education and trusted God.
I first heard about Young Life in 2015 when my classmate Grace invited me to a New Testament Club. She later invited me to my first Young Life outreach camp, where I accepted Jesus Christ as my Savior. After sharing my story with Elijah, he invited me to join his Campaigners group, where I grew in my faith and relationship with God. Since then, I have led Campaigners, served at camp, and become a Team Leader at Bassa High School. I now serve as a Team Leader at Gboiquee High Club, where I mentor students, organize activities and outreach events, encourage young people in their faith, and pray for our club and ministry.
Now a Developing Global Leader, I am studying Criminal Justice and Sociology because I want to serve my community, promote justice, protect people, and help reduce crime. My experience working with young people has inspired me to pursue a career as a Community Relations Officer or School Resource Officer, where I can build trust between young people and law enforcement. I am grateful to be the first in my family to attend university and want to use this opportunity to inspire others to believe their circumstances do not determine their future.
