My nickname that I go by is Salley. I grew up in a village with my parents and siblings, where life was difficult but filled with family love. There was no school, church, hospital, safe drinking water, or good housing, and we relied on local agriculture and traditional herbs. At age nine, I moved to Paynesville City to live with my aunt and her family. My father, a businessman, is deceased, and my mother is a farmer. I have seven siblings.
My faith is the turning point of my life. I gave my life to Jesus in 2014 at age 14 during a church crusade. I now attend The Living Well Church in Paynesville, where I serve as a worship leader. My daily walk with Jesus includes reading the Bible, praying, meditating, and fasting. I first became involved with Young Life in 2019 when Carlton M. Kruah invited me to a Campaigners meeting and encouraged me to volunteer. I have served as a leader for seven years, growing through Discovery Bible Study, prayer, retreats, and fellowship with other leaders. I currently serve as Team Leader for the Vision Trust School Club.
Now a Developing Global Leader, I will study Nursing at Adventist University of West Africa. I am the first person in my family to attend university. I chose nursing because I want to care for sick children as a professional nurse, especially in a pediatric ward. Through DGL, I hope to earn my degree, grow deeper in my relationship with Jesus, and continue developing Young Life. My greatest strength is connecting with people.
