Kamila

My name is Kamila, I live and study in Lviv. I was born and raised in a small town in a Christian Baptist family, where I heard about God from childhood. I struggled with a feeling that a interesting and fulfilling life existed outside the boundaries of faith. The biggest test and at the same time an important stage in my formation was moving to another city to study at the age of 15. Living away from my family taught me independence, responsibility, and perseverance.

My faith started to grow after I met sincere Christians in Lviv where I had moved to study. Their joy and genuine relationship with Jesus challenged my understanding of what it meant to follow Him. Around that time Young Life was launched at my church, and I decided to join the ministry. My personal relationship with Jesus became truly strong after my first Young Life camp. There I realized that it is possible to have a living connection with Christ and began to seek Him daily. Serving teenagers and supporting them in their search for the meaning of life became an integral and most important part of my journey.

Now a Developing Global Leader, I am studying Digital Management in Business in Ivan Franko National University of Lviv. I chose this specialty because of my desire to become a qualified specialist who can benefit the economy of Ukraine. Through DGL, I hope to grow as a leader while walking alongside teenagers, building meaningful relationships, and introducing them to Jesus. I believe that my studies and ministry will help me maximize my potential and become an effective leader for my country and church.
