Ever David

My name is Ever David. I grew up in a humble, hardworking family in Colombia. I currently live in the city of Ibagué with my mom and my sister, but I spent much of my childhood on a farm. My life changed when I was 10 years old. My parents separated, and I suffered the painful loss of my brother. Because of this, I had to take on major responsibilities to care for my family and the farm while my mom went out to work. Although it was a very difficult time for me, this experience instilled in me discipline, organization, and commitment.

From childhood, I was raised in the faith thanks to my grandmother, but years later I drifted away from God. In search of opportunities, I moved to the city of Ibagué, where I rejoined a church. There I met the local Young Life directors; their charisma impressed me and motivated me to volunteer. During an outing with them, I experienced God’s presence, which completely changed and transformed my heart. Since then, Young Life has been a blessing to me. I am currently a club director in the Villacafé neighborhood.

Now a Developing Global Leader, I’m studying Sports Management at the National Open and Distance Learning University. My dream is to be a sports commentator and manager, combining sports with serving God. I am very proud to be the first in my family to graduate from college. I long to lead a generational change in my home and impact lives with my testimony while training new leaders, starting new clubs, and helping to build strong relationships that financially sustain the ministry.
