Wanda

My name is Wanda, and I was born in the city of Villa Ángela, in northern Argentina. I have two siblings, and I live with my parents, who work hard to support me. My dad works in construction, and my mom is a homemaker. During my teenage years, I went through very difficult times marked by insecurity and low self-esteem, and because I didn’t grow up in a Christian home, I had many doubts about my purpose.

In 2023, some friends invited me to a Young Life club. There, I heard for the first time that Jesus loved me personally and that my worth did not depend on my achievements, my mistakes, or the opinions of others. That message touched my heart deeply. As I experienced His love within an authentic community, I found a new identity and hope in Christ. My family, seeing this transformation in my life, decided to draw closer to God, and today we share the same faith. I currently have the privilege of serving as a college leader with Young Life, where I enjoy mentoring young people and leading activities.

As a student in the Developing Global Leaders program, I am pursuing a law degree at the National University of the Northeast. I am very proud to be the first person in my family to attend and graduate from college. I am passionate about justice and want to use my legal knowledge to help people and resolve conflicts in society. My greatest professional dream is to become a lawyer who serves her community and promotes positive change, while continuing to invest my life in the next generation so they can discover the immense love and purpose found in Jesus.
