I grew up in the municipality of Boaco, Nicaragua, in a loving and nurturing home. My parents, both elementary school teachers, instilled in me from a young age the importance of education and hard work. Although we lived with limited resources, I was always motivated by the desire to improve myself. During my childhood, I faced economic challenges and the pressure to achieve good academic results, but my parents taught me to see these challenges as opportunities for growth.
Three years ago, I met Jesus at a Young Life camp. Although I grew up in a Catholic family, it was there that I experienced a personal encounter with Him, which transformed my life. I decided to follow Him because I felt a void that only His love could fill. I joined Young Life after my camp to share that experience with other young people and help them to know Jesus in a real and personal way, just as I did.
Now a Developing Global Leader, I am studying for a Bachelor's Degree in English so I can teach the language and preach the gospel across different cultures and languages. I want to use my education to impact the lives of young people, especially in communities like Boaco. I visualize myself as an Area Director in the municipality of Teustepe, where I will be able to expand the work of Young Life and guide more young people on their journey with Jesus.
