Regina Marcela

I grew up in a family with my parents, an older sister, and two younger siblings. My grandmother played an important role in my childhood, faithfully taking us to church each Sunday and teaching me about God from an early age. My home life became difficult when my parents separated and my mother moved us from place to place, affecting my education and friendships.

My life began to change when a friend invited me to a Young Life club. From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed, loved, and truly heard. Someone prayed for me, and that simple act touched my heart. Later, I attended camp, where the quiet environment allowed me to step away from the noise of everyday life and connect deeply with Jesus. For the first time, I felt that He was listening to me and guiding me toward a purpose. Through continued involvement with ministry leaders and discipleship, my relationship with Jesus grew stronger, helping me heal from insecurity and find my true worth in Him. The ministry became a bridge to a life filled with light, healing, and direction.

Now a Developing Global Leader, I hope to graduate from university and becoming a professional in the accounting field, using my skills to serve both my community and the ministry. I hope to reach more kids who need to experience the love of Jesus, train leaders who can strengthen the work in my area, and eventually help expand ministry into new places. More than anything, I desire a stable life where I can continue growing, lead with integrity, and inspire others—including my siblings—to pursue their dreams while living with faith and purpose.
