I grew up in the Alejo Chavella neighborhood of Ciudad Darío, where I live with my mom, my sister, and my younger brother. My childhood included both joyful and difficult seasons. My parents worked long hours—my dad as a mechanic and my mom selling shoes—which often meant we were alone and had to grow up quickly. Later, their divorce brought conflict and instability. I was taught responsibility, resilience, and the importance of supporting one another. These experiences shaped my character and gave me a deep desire to serve and build a better future.
I met Jesus during one of the darkest moments of my life, when my parents’ divorce led me into deep depression and hopelessness. At a Young Life camp, I encountered Him in a real and personal way and gave Him my heart. That moment changed everything. Through discipleship, prayer, and community in Vida Joven, my faith grew and God began the journey of healing. He gave me back my voice, my confidence, and purpose. Today I serve by leading clubs, mentoring junior leaders, and sharing the hope that Jesus brought into my life.
Now a Developing Global Leaders, I hope to complete my degree in Tourism and Hospitality and use it to serve others through excellence and hospitality. I also dream of growing my café business as a space where culture, service, and community come together. Through DGL, I want to become a stronger, more disciplined leader who faithfully serves Jesus and positively influences young people.
