My name is Artyom, and I was born in the central-eastern part of russia. I had a modest childhood, marked by constant arguments between my parents, which my brother and I often witnessed. In 2013, my mother, brother, and I moved to Armenia to live with my grandparents. Since then, I grew up without my father, communicating with him only through Skype. Although my parents tried to reconcile, they never succeeded, and in 2021 my father left the family for good.
My repentance was not an instant moment but a long journey. At 15, I began to feel a deep need for God. In 2021, during the hardest time of my life — when my relationships were falling apart and my best friend took his own life — I turned to God in prayer. That moment changed everything. I started reading the Bible, seeking Jesus, and my life began to transform. Around that time, a friend invited me to Young Life, where I found a loving community that helped me grow in faith and friendship.
Now a DGL, I am studying to become a cinematographer who uses media to tell stories that glorify God and bring hope to others. I want to create films that reveal His light even in the darkest moments of life. I pray I will grow in ministry with Young Life, mentoring and sharing the same love and truth that once transformed me.
