I am Moses, the sixth born in a family of eight kids, brought up by a single mum who relied on available jobs. Life hasn't been easy because not all meals were guaranteed, sometimes even schooling was a problem. At some point, however, things became better when we were taken to a children's home where we could go to school. Thanks to Mama Rose from the children's home, I studied up to form 4.
In 2019, I attended Young Life club during a school weekend challenge. At the end of club, I met Jesus through a one-on-one counseling session with a Young Life leader normally called Bones. He followed up with me and personally discipled me for 14 weeks after which He took me for my first Young Life camp. After the camp, I joined Young Life.
Now a Developing Global Leader, my goal is to develop the slum community where I grew up by starting projects that enable the kids in slums get access to education. I also look forward to starting Young Life at my college and developing leaders in both my college and neighborhood. I am the first person in my family to attend university.
