My name has been changed because of security reasons. I am 20 years old and live in muslim country with my parents and younger sister. I am a child of Christian parents. I’ve been going to church since birth, but I developed a personal relationship with God when I was 17.
A key moment in my life was when the pastor’s wife told me about the Young Life ministry. At first, I didn’t fully understand what it was, but I enjoyed the club — meeting new people, having fun, and feeling welcomed. Over time, I realized I wanted to serve in this ministry. Young Life taught me that service can take many forms — from offering support and playing games to going for a walk or simply talking.
In the future, I want to become a qualified doctor and save lives — both in my country and in the church. As a DGL studying at university, I want to share the Gospel. As a ministry leader, I hope to mentor new leaders and helpers. I will be the first in my family to graduate from university.
