I live in Malika, in the Dakar region of Senegal, with my uncle, aunt, brothers, and sisters. Our living situation is simple, and though life hasn’t been easy, we support and take care of one another. My childhood was marked by challenges. I lost my father when I was just three years old, and shortly after, my mother left. I was raised by my uncle and aunt, along with their children and my brothers. Growing up without my parents brought both emotional and material difficulties, but these hardships taught me resilience, adaptability, and hope.

My Catholic faith has been a constant source of strength. From a young age, I was involved in my parish, participating in events, prayer groups, and the Charismatic Renewal, where I served through intercession and singing. It was during a time of serious illness that I truly encountered Jesus in a personal and life-changing way. In my pain and brokenness, He met me, healed my heart, and gave me purpose. Later, a friend invited me to Young Life, where I discovered a welcoming community full of love. Today, as a Young Life Team Leader, I mentor teenagers, organize club meetings, and walk alongside them in their faith journeys.

As a DGL, I'm studying digital communications. I want to use technology to inspire change. My goal is to work in communications for an NGO or social enterprise, mentor young leaders, and continue serving God through ministry—helping others find belonging in Christ.
