I grew up in a large family where financial stability was often a challenge. After exceling in my primary school exams I was sent away to high school to continue my studies because my family recognized my academic potential. This was an exciting opportunity but being far from home had new challenges and responsibilities. These experiences shaped my character and strengthened my determination to persevere despite obstacles.
My Catholic faith has always been an anchor in my life. I am very involved in my parish, serving alongside other parishioners and volunteering wherever I can for the glory of Jesus. My personal relationship with Christ began during one of the darkest seasons of my life, following the death of my father. At that time, I felt hopeless, but through a classmate named Eliezer, who continually shared the Word with me, I met Jesus in a personal way. He became my source of strength and healing, restoring my heart and giving me purpose. Later, I discovered Young Life through teenagers at my church and decided to get involved myself. Today, I serve as a Young Life leader, helping teenagers grow in their faith and supporting them through life’s challenges.
Now, as a Developing Global Leaders’ scholarship recipient and a university student, I am pursuing my degree in International Relations with the goal of finding meaningful work after graduation. I dream of opening an orphanage, supporting vulnerable children, expanding Young Life’s impact, and living a life of service to God and others.
