Thomas

My name is Thomas, and I live in Grenoble, in the French Alps, with my dad. I grew up in the countryside in France in a loving Christian family of five children. My father was a very good coach in life and also in sports, and he is one of the best teachers I have had in life. He led my family and I toward Jesus, encouraging us to persevere and know more about His Word. However, during my elementary school years, my parents divorced, and my father struggled with mental illness and this brought many problems in my family. When I was ten, he finally had to leave the house. This time was probably the most difficult in my life. I was broken and crushed, but God had a plan for me, and I found my identity in Jesus.

I started going to Christian camps at nine years old. I was also in youth group during middle and high school. I met Jesus newly in this season. From the darkness of my inner self, I saw Him shining over my life. When I became a university student, I found a church, where I also discovered Young Life. I started serving with Young Life as a leader one year later and am now a WyldLife leader.

Now a DGL, I am currently studying business and economics at the Grenoble Alpes University in Grenoble, France. My goal is to become an entrepreneur, possibly owning a restaurant I want to use my gifts to proclaim Jesus in all the areas where God puts me. I also have a heart for evangelism and want to continue serving in Young Life and to become a missionary.
