I was born in Guédiawaye, Senegal, and raised in a Catholic family. We lived in a small rented home, and even though life was not always easy, my parents taught us to value education and faith. One of the hardest moments of my childhood was losing my grandmother. She was my emotional support and her death was very painful. But it also helped me grow stronger and taught me the importance of family and resilience.
My relationship with Jesus became personal during my teenage years, especially after my grandmother passed away. I found peace and hope in Him during that difficult time. Later, a friend invited me to a Young Life club, and I felt welcomed and encouraged. I started attending regularly and eventually became more involved. Young Life helped me grow in my faith and discover my passion for serving others.
Now a DGL, I hope to finish my university studies in Business Law so I can help families in need and stand up for justice. I want to build a career that defends the rights of the poor and supports my community. As a Young Life leader, I also want to mentor young people and help start new clubs. My goal is to be a leader who combines faith, service, and professional skills to make a positive difference in the world.
