I grew up in a quiet suburb with my parents and younger brother, enjoying family traditions like sharing warm meals and taking walks together. My childhood was peaceful, yet I often placed high academic expectations on myself. One of my biggest challenges came in grade six, when I transferred to a new school. Leaving old friends and adapting to a new environment was difficult, but it taught me how to persevere and adjust in the face of change.
I learned about God from my parents and we attended a house church with about 70 members. Being baptized marked a turning point, as well as attending summer camp and serving at church activities. My faith is strong as I have seen God help me as I pray, meditate and read the Bible. My parents' close friends were Young Life leaders and they introduced me to the ministry. Today, I serve as a Young Life volunteer, helping with events and small group Bible studies.
Now a DGL, I am excited to study automotive engineering. My goal is to support myself and my family after graduation, while continuing to grow in leadership so I can serve my community and contribute to worship and ministry at my local church.
