I grew up in a village where my family and I faced both good times and hard times. One big problem in our community is that many young people are addicted to local wine. Because of this, they lose interest in school and stop going to church. Many don’t know about the Bible, which shows the deep struggles we face. These challenges have made me want to help others through education, faith, and leadership.
I first learned about Jesus in Sunday School as a child. At first, I didn’t understand much, but one teacher said something that touched my heart: “Jesus gave His life for our sins, and if we follow Him, He will give us true peace.” That moment helped me start my journey of faith. Later, a Developing Global Leader student invited me to Young Life Club and Discovery Bible Study. I enjoyed it and got more involved. After a year, he asked me to volunteer, and I’ve been serving and growing in faith ever since.
Now as a DGL, my dream is to use my education to serve in ministry. I want to be a teacher who shares knowledge and helps others grow in their faith. I hope to lead and inspire young people, guiding them toward Jesus and helping them build a better future. I am studying mathematics at one of the oldest and most respected colleges in my county.
