Arpita

I was born and raised in South Asia, where I still live with my family. I had a happy childhood filled with joyful moments. I loved dancing and often performed in theater programs. At the same time, I attended Sunday school regularly, which helped lay the foundation for my faith. I’m grateful for the love and support of my family during those early years.

My brother told me about Young Life and I got to know God personally through a camp experiencing the presence and vision of the Holy Spirit. I started building a personal relationship with Jesus, and His peace has stayed with me. It was believed that as a girl I wouldn’t achieve much but my desire is to work for the Kingdom of God. I got involved with Young Life and I have been involved as a volunteer ever since. I hope to become a good leader.

As a DGL, I am excited to study Social Work to be equipped to understand people's needs, support communities and build God's Kingdom. I am grateful for this opportunity to be here and look forward to moving forward with my studies.
