I grew up in a small family of four—my mom, dad, younger sister, and me. We lived in rented houses and didn’t have many things, but we had each other. My parents both worked hard, though they were paid very little, and we often faced money challenges. I changed schools several times, adjusting to different teaching styles, languages, and friends. At first, these changes were confusing and even hurt my grades, but over time I learned to adapt. My mother used to send me to church—not to follow Christ, but to learn something good. I still remember those early days with friends and songs, even before I truly understood Jesus.

When I moved to a new country, I felt lost and had nowhere to go. Then I met a friend who, after some time, invited me to Young Life. I loved the music, games, and talks, and felt welcomed right away. For a while, I stopped attending, but God put it in my heart to return. Soon I joined Bible study and started going to church every Saturday. Over time, I came to believe in Jesus and decided to follow Him fully. It wasn’t easy—my family was unhappy, and some relatives pressured me to give up my faith—but I chose Jesus and was baptized. Young Life played a big role in my journey, giving me a community where I could grow.

As a DGL I am now studying business at university. My goal is to serve Jesus for my whole life through ministry, leadership, and my work using my career whether in finance, business, or my own startup not just to earn money, but to reflect God’s image and serve people with integrity.
