I come from a small family in Nepal. We have had many struggles but also many blessings. When I was three years old, my family believed in Jesus. At that time, we had sickness, money problems, and fear. But God saved us and gave us hope. Later my father had a serious heart attack- we had no money and didn’t know what to do. We prayed and trusted God, and He provided everything. I saw that God is gracious and He can do anything.
My faith has grown a lot through my church, my pastor, and Bible school. In Bible school, I learned more about God’s Word and who He is. Now I serve with Young Life in my area. I meet kids through sports and music, know them by name, and become friends. We are getting ready to start the first Club here. My dream is to tell people about God who have never heard about Him, and also remind people who have forgotten Him about His love.
Through the DGL program, I want to study sociology at university. I chose this subject because it helps me understand people and communities—how they live and how to help them grow. It will help me share God’s Word better and also do social work in my community. In the future, I want to serve people in need and show them the love and truth of Jesus Christ.
