My name is Yoraima, and I live with my parents in a cozy home. I had a happy childhood, surrounded by love and support, even through the ups and downs that every family experiences. One of the most difficult moments of my life was losing my grandfather. That loss challenged me in ways I had never expected. It was during this time of grief that I truly realized how fragile and meaningful life is, and how important it is to rely on something greater than myself for strength and healing.
Although I grew up attending church, it wasn’t until I turned twelve that I truly began to develop a personal relationship with God. A key turning point in my spiritual journey was during a growth camp, where I had a powerful encounter with the Holy Spirit. I realized that while I believed I was living the right way, there were many things in my life that needed to change. It was a challenging moment, but with God’s help, I began to grow spiritually and strengthen my faith. Since then, my relationship with Jesus has deepened, especially in times when I’ve felt overwhelmed.
As a Developing Global Leader, my biggest hope is to keep serving Jesus with all my heart. I want to finish my college degree and become a strong, Christ-like leader. My dream is to make a positive impact on others through my work and life, helping people see Jesus in a fresh and inspiring way. One of the happiest moments for me would be going home with my degree, seeing my parents smile, and knowing I overcame every challenge. I’m studying Bioanalysis at the Autonomous University of Santo Domingo.
