I grew up in a village with my dad and my three stepmothers. I faced many challenges, including losing my biological mother and life in a complex family. Resources were limited, and opportunities for education were scarce. Eventually, my aunt took me to live with her in the city, and this is where I am currently staying. Life remains challenging, however, in all my challenges I am grateful to God for always giving me extra strength and courage to hold on and strive to better my future.

I was born into a Muslim home and grew up attending the mosque. After I was adopted by my aunt who is a Christian, I started attending church, but at the time, I didn’t truly understand what Christianity was all about. I heard the message about salvation at a crusade, and I made the decision to give my life to Christ. That moment marked the beginning of a personal relationship with Jesus. I was later introduced to Young Life. I loved the way Young Life welcomed everyone with love, their strong emphasis on leadership development, and their focus on preaching Christ. Being part of Young Life has strengthened my faith, helped me grow spiritually, and given me a supportive community where I continue to thrive.

As a Developing Global Leader, I am studying law at the University of Sierra Leone and will be the first in my family to graduate from college. My goal is to work within the legal system to bring about positive change in my country and to protect others. My goal as a Young Life leader and committed church member is to serve God faithfully and build His Kingdom.
