My name is Angel. Growing up, my sister and I were cared for by an aunt while our parents worked. Those early years were spent marked by conflict and hardship, but also by moments of innocence—playing in the streets with other children. My family consists of my mother, my father (now separated from my mom), my sister, and my half-brother. One of the greatest struggles of my childhood was facing bullying at school.

Despite these early challenges, my life began to change when I encountered Jesus. First through Catholicism, then when a family member invited me to a Christian church. I began to understand who Jesus was and how to relate to Him. My heart had always longed for more of God, but nothing had drawn me in until I was invited to a Young Life club. Through Young Life, I began my walk of faith. Jesus brought light and healing to deep wounds. Forgiveness became possible through His love, and I now see God’s promises slowly unfolding in my home, even as my family goes through its own process of transformation. 

Today, my relationship with Jesus is the foundation of my life. My heart finds joy in serving, praising, and helping others. As a Developing Global Leader, I am studying Elementary Education and am the first in my family to attend college. In the future, I see myself as a professional educator, actively serving in ministry, with a loving family by my side that also follows God. I want to open doors for others and be a living testimony that God's love can truly transform lives.
