My name is Pauline, and I live with my parents in Noyarey, France. I have an older brother and sister. The biggest challenges in my life have been self-confidence, comparing myself to others and wanting approval. I put a lot of pressure on myself with academic success too. However, the Lord has helped me with these struggles, and I have learned that He is the one who gives me worth.
I grew up going to church and hearing about God. I knew He existed and created the world, but I never thought about having a personal relationship with Him. During middle school and high school, I went to several Christian camps where I learned how essential it is to have a personal relationship with the Lord. I then found out about Young Life through several friends. Young Life had a great impact on my spiritual life and helped me understand what it really means to follow the Lord daily. I am now a volunteer leader with Young Life and WyldLife.
As a recipient of the Developing Global Leaders scholarship, I am studying science and medicine at the University of Paris-Est Creteil (UPEC) in Paris, France. I want to earn a master's degree in research and project management in the field of healthcare and occupational therapy. With my degree, I hope to be a public health manager, implementing projects to help geriatric patients reach as much autonomy as they can in their daily lives. I also want to remain involved in Young Life. I love working with teenagers and seeing their lives transformed and hearts opened to the Lord.
