Crismeily

My name is Crismeily. I live with my older sister and maternal grandmother. Since birth, I was raised by my grandparents, as both of my parents abandoned me at a young age. Growing up without my parents and feeling unloved was one of the most painful challenges of my life. However, everything began to change when I encountered Jesus, who gave me a new family in Christ and began to heal the emptiness in my heart. 

Although I grew up attending two churches—I did not believe in God for many years. I couldn’t understand how a loving God would allow so much suffering, abandonment, and injustice. After losing my grandfather, I fell into a period of confusion and pain. Through my teen years, I found myself far from faith, surrounding myself with the wrong people and living a life disconnected from God. In 2023, I attended a Young Life summer camp where everything changed. There, I felt God's presence for the first time and realized He had been calling me all along. 

Now as a young woman who loves God with all her heart. I no longer go to church out of routine, but to grow spiritually and help others find the same hope I did. As a Developing Global Leader, I am studying Accounting at Technological University of Eastern Cibao. I’m working to strengthen my leadership, grow in faith, and support others in their spiritual journey while pursuing my academic and life goals.
