Growing up was difficult—my father drank heavily and was violent, especially toward my mother. He often hurt her, even in front of us. Things were so bad that my mother finally left him and moved us to a safer place. It wasn’t easy. We had little money, and I often felt left out—I didn’t have the clothes, food, or education that other kids had. I blamed God. Then my parents got divorced, and I felt completely lost. But one day, I prayed for forgiveness and asked God for help. That moment changed everything. Slowly, my life started to feel better. I stopped feeling ashamed of where I came from and began to enjoy life.
Over time, I got involved with my church and the community. I found out about Young Life and joined their club, camps, and activities. Those experiences helped me grow closer to God and understand His love for me. Each step brought healing and new hope.
I am blessed to be part of the Developing Global Leaders program, and I’m thankful for the chance to study English at my dream university. I want to finish my education and work toward a strong career. I also want to keep helping in Young Life, giving my time and energy to the ministry that changed my life. I know God is with me, and I trust that He will continue to guide and provide for me.
