I come from Grand Cape Mount County, a beautiful region in northwestern Liberia known for its lush forests, coastal beaches, and rich cultural history. I lived in Cape Mount before moving to Monrovia, where I currently stay. Growing up was hard, especially during the Liberian civil war, which I experienced at the age of four. I was traumatized and often bullied by my friends because of how I looked. My parents couldn’t afford to send me and my two brothers to school, so I struggled to enroll. Later, I joined a government school since the fees were more affordable.
I was invited to Young Life where I met Jesus. I started going to church regularly, joined church activities, and began reading my Bible every day. Those changes helped me grow in my faith. Young Life became an important part of my spiritual journey and brought new purpose to my life.
I am currently studying Economics at the University of Liberia. I hope to complete my Developing Global Leaders (DGL) program successfully. I pray for the opportunity to become an Area Director, and my goal is to see fifteen Young Life ministries active and growing across the country.
