Júlia grew up in Zona Verde, a neighborhood marked by poverty and negative influences. By God’s grace, she avoided the common traps of drugs and prostitution. Her father did all he could to support the family, but after his death, life grew harder. With the help of her siblings, she completed secondary school but couldn’t afford university. She now runs a small business, working hard to support herself and her family while holding onto hope for the future.
Her journey with Jesus began in 2019 at a Young Life Outreach Camp, where she first encountered Christ’s love. A few weeks later, at a Young Life pajama night, she fully committed her life to him. The transformation was clear: she became more respectful, calm, and dedicated at home, in church, and in ministry. Invited by her sister, a former Young Life leader, Júlia was discipled and grew deeply in her faith.
Now a Developing Global Leader, she hopes to become a writer and journalist who speaks truth and empowers others, especially girls in her community. She dreams of one day earning a PhD in Journalism. In ministry, she hopes to become a Young Life area director, launching new clubs and helping women find purpose and hope in Christ.
