Growing up without my father, I had to care for my younger siblings while struggling to attend school. Though hearing challenges and classmates’ teasing made me feel ashamed, God opened doors through kind neighbors who helped me continue. Determined, I committed to studying hard so I could one day help my family achieve their dreams.

In 2019, I attended a Young Life camp that changed everything. Although I used to go to church, I didn’t have a personal relationship with Jesus. At that camp, a speaker shared her story — from childhood to adulthood — and described how she overcame challenges through faith. Her testimony moved me deeply, and I asked her to introduce me to the Jesus she spoke about. After camp, I started attending Young Life Campaigners and soon God calling to be a Young Life leader myself. reading Scripture and getting to know God personally. I joined campaigners, graduated as a disciple, and felt a strong calling to become a Young Life leader myself.

Today, I am studying law at Tumaini University through the Developing Global Leaders program. I will be the first in my family to graduate college. I hope to become an advocate, using my education to speak up for others while continuing to serve in ministry.  I dream of being an advocate — not just in the courtroom, but also in ministry. I hope to continue serving through Young Life, helping others discover the hope that changed my life.
