I grew up surrounded by my siblings and grandparents, often confined indoors during the rainy season. Life was hard. Our family lacked the resources to fully care for us—food was scarce, and schooling felt like an unreachable dream. But in our struggles, God showed up. He used others to extend a hand and offer hope. A few years ago, my family experienced heartbreaking losses—we lost both parents and our grandparents. Yet by God's grace, my siblings and I found ways to survive and support each other.

My life truly changed when a friend encouraged me to attend my first Young Life Camp where I said yes to Jesus. There, I encountered humble leaders whose love and kindness inspired me to become a Young Life leader.  Jesus helped me overcome drug and alcohol abuse and transformed my pain into purpose. Through Him, I’ve shared healing and hope with other young people, guiding them toward Christ.

Today, I’m a Developing Global Leader, studying accounting at United Methodist University—the first in my family to attend college. I’m growing my Leadership Tree and working hard to bring more souls to Christ. I am deeply grateful for this opportunity to pursue higher education, grow as a leader, and work for a better future- one where I can give back and be a light to others, just as others have been for me.
