My story begins in the warmth of a loving home, but everything changed when I lost my mother. Her death left a deep emptiness and made life difficult. In the middle of my grief, I found comfort in Jesus. Through prayer and reading Scripture, I began to feel His peace. I realized my mother’s love lives on in the memories we shared. I turned my pain into purpose by volunteering at youth centers and encouraging others through my story. Grief no longer defines me—it’s a part of my journey that has made me stronger and more compassionate.
I met Jesus personally at age 10 during a worship service at church. Though my family went to church regularly, that moment changed everything. I felt God’s presence like never before. That same season, I faced personal struggles, and I knew I needed something deeper. I began to read the Bible and look for faith-filled community. I found Young Life through a school friend who invited me to club. I was welcomed immediately and felt safe to ask questions and grow in my faith. Through Young Life, I built strong relationships, grew in confidence, and learned how to live out my beliefs daily.
Now as a DGL, I hope to complete my studies in Fashion and Textiles at Accra Technical University, where I’m proud to be the first in my family to attend college. I want to use my creativity to build a meaningful career in fashion and design. I also hope to grow as a leader—both in my profession and through ministry—encouraging others and giving back through mentorship and outreach. My dream is to keep learning, lead with love, and inspire others through both faith and creativity.
