Joe

I grew up in a large household with six biological siblings and three extended family members. Due to financial challenges, most of my siblings attended public schools, while I was blessed with a church scholarship to a private high school. The scholarship required me to maintain an “A” average, which pushed me toward academic excellence and built my determination to succeed. Life was difficult, but these struggles shaped my character and inspired me to pursue a life of purpose and transformation.

During those hard times, God used my circumstances to draw me closer to Him. My faith journey began early, and I found peace and hope in Christ. I was introduced to Young Life by a leader who was a friend from Sunday school. I was invited to club, then to camp, and later became a Campaigner. Eventually, I was trained as a volunteer leader and have served in several leadership roles. Young Life has been the foundation of my spiritual and leadership growth.

Through the Developing Global Leaders program, I am studying Education with a major in School Administration at Cuttington University. I will be the first in my family to graduate from college. My dream is to serve my community and church by leading schools, building systems that work, and raising a new generation of equipped young people. I hope to take the gospel of Jesus into every area of my life and continue reaching kids through Young Life ministry, just as I was once reached.
