Anna is an energetic and dedicated young leader from Zhytomyr, where she lives with her parents and younger brother. She grew up in a Christian family, surrounded by love and care. When she was eight, her brother Semyon was born— one of the most joyful moments in her life. However, when he was diagnosed with autism at age three, the family faced new and unexpected challenges. Her mother became his full-time caregiver, while her father worked multiple jobs to support the family. At times, they struggled even to put food on the table. Yet through all the financial and emotional hardships, Anna’s family remained faithful to Jesus, trusting Him in every season.
Anna knew about God from a young age, but made the personal decision to follow Him during her early teenage years. She remembers many moments when she felt like giving up, but God remained faithful and kept holding her. She had a deep desire to serve young people, and God fulfilled that desire by introducing her to Young Life. What once was a completely unfamiliar organization has now become a meaningful and joyful part of her life. Her purpose is to faithfully follow Jesus and share the Gospel with young people. She feels called to serve wherever God leads.
Anna is currently studying Secondary Education with a focus on Fine Arts at a local university. She will be the first in her family to graduate from university. She hopes to continue her education with a master’s degree and find work that aligns with her calling, trusting that God will lead her every step of the way.
