My name is Toader, and I live in Feldru, Romania, with my parents. I grew up with my parents, but my grandmother was also very important in my life, and she made me the person I am today. She was kind, gentle, generous and patient and I want to carry this on. She also shaped my faith in God. One of the biggest challenges that I have faced in my life has been loving others and not having that love reciprocated. Through this struggle, I have found acceptance in the truth that Jesus alone offers me unconditional love and has great plans for me.
I grew up going to church with my grandmother every Sunday. I have known about Jesus since I was little, but I began my personal relationship with Him when I attended Young Life camp. He became my best friend and the only One I can trust. I heard about Young Life from our priest and got involved by participating in camps and clubs that our church organized. I am now a volunteer team leader for Young Life.
As a recipient of the Developing Global Leaders scholarship, I am studying Political Science and Security Studies at Babeș-Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. After I graduate, I want to be in Security Studies, work at the SRI (Romanian Intelligence Service Agency) and continue helping people know Jesus. I also want to continue leading and helping young people through Young Life.
